IT industry may be divided into a number of components, including IT products manufacturing, software development, telecommunication, technology application and informationalization. The industry can also be divided as microelectronics, optical electronics, software, computer, telecommunication, network, consumption, and services.

The international industry restructurizaton is currently quirt dynamic with the ever-growing competition. The two factors determine that the competitive advantages are no long concentrate on a single industry or on the specific product; rather the competitive advantages are determined by the specific industry position in the industry chain and by its shifting capability to the upper and the lower of the chain.

For that, the investment focuses could be concentrated on the shifting of the global R&D centers as well as the operation centers. In doing so, the investors can explore the opportunities in the process of multi-nationals' shifting to Sichuan IT industry.
